Bamboo Market City supplies bamboo value-added products and poles, cultivating and finding new vistas for bamboo applications. It was formed in April 2020. We have partnered with several small/medium scale industries across India enabling us to provide us with a variety of range of products from daily essentials to interior décor, furniture, etc.

We have partnered with local bamboo farmers working on bamboo cultivation and production for the last 20 years and other small/medium scale manufacturers pan India to manufacture quality value-added bamboo products.

Our Factory and plantation are in the midst of nature. It is situated in the western ghats in the state of Maharashtra at a height of about 600mtrs, in a small village called Shedani. It has a very high rainfall which supports the catchment of a dam nearby. These natural surroundings help for very good growth of bamboo.

Most of Shedani's population is farmers. The main crop is paddy (rain-fed) as no means of irrigation are available. Training them in bamboo cultivation, harvesting, and using treated bamboo has created new job opportunities. Thus, stopping them from migrating to nearby towns and cities for jobs.

Our Team

We at Bamboo Market City have partnered with some of the best individuals/institutions passionate about sustainable architecture. Each has the expertise and experience in handling materials like stone, mud, bamboo, steel, and wood. Each one has participated in hands-on activities which makes them better at designing with sensitivity and awareness and sensitivity. Each of them has done an internship in different states of India to study sustainable architecture in India. Our partner small-scale industries have more experience doing what they do than most people in the country.

Our partner institutes and architects have done bamboo construction in-house. Though we have associate contractors who work in other materials. We have a team of expert craftsmen in their respective fields.
